Threemacs charity event
A little bit about SHINE, Is a local charity, that this years raffle is being run for across the four venues of our charity tour this year. The include The Freebird Freehouse, The Rigger Rock Venue, Bunker 13 andRock Night at the Winking Man.
SHINE is a group that has had it's funding completely cut by local government, it provides support for people with special needs. These include autism, asbergers syndrome, cerebral palsy, downs syndrome, learning difficulties plus behavioral and emotional difficulties. They meet once a week at Blurton club and provide varied activities for these disadvantaged folk. It is run entirely by volunteers (Jeff Thompson, Jenny Whitbyand Frank Simpson), so no one gets paid! all the fundraising goes directly into providing activities for the young adults.
